    Required reading: Career Intensity

When I sat down to read my advance copy of Dave Lorenzo’s book, Career Intensity (to be published in May 2006), I armed myself with a stack of sticky notes to mark the most “important” pages.

How much important stuff did I find? Here’s a clue: I ran out of notes in about 20 minutes.

Career Intensity should be required reading for everyone graduating from college or university or starting a business. In fact, it could serve as a guide for anyone in the workforce – new or seasoned – who needs a career boost or a shot of motivation.

With clarity, focus and humor, Dave Lorenzo talks about building your personal brand, taking charge of your career, generating buzz and becoming a master persuader, among other things. Using stories from his life and the lives of those he has met along the journey, Dave has crafted a book that is motivating, inspiring and yet practical. His insights are deep; it’s no surprise that he has mentored some of the world’s most successful business people.

By the way, as an adjunct to the book, Dave’s Career Intensity blog offers up useful tips for success. Reading it is a great way to kick-start the day.
